Production and dosing

Dosing stations

The most straightforward dosing solution: a dosing pump, controlled by a pulse-output water meter installed on the pipe, injects the chemical in proportion to the volume of water to be treated. Supplied on a tank, on a panel or on a skid, ready for installation.

  • Constant, volumetric or proportional dosing
  • One or two pumps
  • On a tank, panel or skid

How it works

How volumetric dosing works

It allows the dosing of acids, bases, disinfectants, fertilisers, polyelectrolytes, flocculants and any product to be dosed according to the volume of water to be treated.

Diagram of the volumetric station: pulse-output water meter on the line, dosing pump, flow sensor, safety valve, injection valve, static mixer and tank with suction lance
1

ppm setting

The quantity of product to be dosed for each litre of water is set on the pump, for example 10 ppm, 10 ml per 100 kg, 10%.

2

Volume measurement

The pulse-output water meter measures the volume of water that has passed and sends a proportional number of pulses to the pump.

3

Product injection

According to the pulses received, the pump performs the necessary injections: the dosing is matched to the volume of water treated.

Dosing

Dosing modes

Constant

Adjustable injection frequency and volume, with dosing activated by the pump timer or by an external start and stop contact.

Volumetric

According to the volume of water treated, measured by the pulse-output water meter (turbine or Woltmann, hot or cold water).

Versions

Tank-mounted versions

All components are pre-installed on the storage tank: the most essential and compact dosing configuration. Solenoid, stepper motor, peristaltic or motor-driven pumps, from 1 to 1,000 l/h and up to 100 bar depending on the model.

Panel-mounted

Panel-mounted versions

The system is supplied pre-assembled on a plastic panel, to make installation as simple as possible, with one or two dosing pumps.

Which one to choose

From the simplest to the most complete solution

For chlorine and other disinfectants the basic solution is the dosing station; to dose according to the concentration actually present in the water, measuring controllers are used.
