PermaDos
Automatic, continuous preparation of the potassium permanganate solution from the powdered product, with continuously measured concentration and no dust dispersion.
PermaDos →Three complementary systems for the entire permanganate oxidation process: PermaDos prepares the potassium permanganate solution from the powdered product, PDS doses liquid solutions of sodium or potassium permanganate in proportion to the flow rate, PermaTest continuously measures the residual permanganate.
Permanganate is used mainly as a pre-oxidant in drinking water: it reduces organic substances and trihalomethane precursors, oxidises iron and manganese, and removes algae and hydrogen sulphide. Controlling the residual prevents overdosing, which causes a pinkish colouring of the water and the formation of by-products, and underdosing, which reduces the effectiveness of the treatment.
Automatic, continuous preparation of the potassium permanganate solution from the powdered product, with continuously measured concentration and no dust dispersion.
PermaDos →
Continuous dosing of sodium or potassium permanganate from liquid solutions, in mg/l and in proportion to the flow rate of the treated water.
PDS →
Continuous measurement of the residual permanganate at the significant points of the process, with 4–20 mA outputs and Modbus TCP/IP for dosing control.
PermaTest →Both compounds are selective oxidants for iron, manganese and other contaminants, in municipal and industrial plants.
For the removal of iron and manganese, the oxidation of hydrogen sulphide (H2S), the control of odours and organic compounds and pre-oxidation in drinking water treatment. A chemically stable solution, less aggressive towards certain materials and with a good shelf life. It can be produced and dosed starting from the powder (PermaDos), or a liquid solution can be dosed (PDS).
For industrial water, environmental remediation and contaminated soil, and the oxidation of complex organic compounds. Its much higher solubility allows higher concentrations; the solution is more fluid, easier to pump and more reactive, and is therefore suited to continuous dosing plants (PDS).

ABS IP65 cabinet, colour touch HMI, management of 2 dosing pumps, Modbus Ethernet TCP/IP.
On request, the unit is completed by a skid with 2 diaphragm dosing pumps for the injection of the prepared solution.
Dosing skid →The PermaDos can be integrated with a dosing skid that draws the solution from the storage tank and injects it into the line to be treated. The skid is sized according to the plant flow rate and the required dose and is managed directly from the PermaDos control panel: preparation and dosing thus form a single system, with a single point of control and supervision.
Skid with 2 diaphragm dosing pumps of the Prisma or Prius D series, selected according to the requirements of the plant, with automatic flow rate adjustment.
The pumps are controlled from the PermaDos touch HMI, which manages their operation, adjustment and alarms; Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP communication makes the data available to the plant supervision system.
The skid is available for both versions of the PermaDos, with a 1,000 kg IBC or with a safety box for 25 kg buckets, as shown in the installation diagrams.

A compact, fully automatic system for the continuous dosing of liquid sodium or potassium permanganate solutions, for drinking water and industrial applications. Dosing proportional to the flow rate prevents overdosing and underdosing.
The permanganate dose is set in mg/l; dosing is automatically adjusted to the flow rate.
Proportional to the 4–20 mA flow signal, or with PID control from the integrated ultrasonic flow meter.
Manual mode with a set flow rate; remote start and stop command.
Automatic calibration and PID control of the stepper motor diaphragm pumps, with PVDF pump head and Modbus.
Measurement of the water flow rate for proportional dosing.
Flow rate, set dose and pump status on the 7" touch panel.
A compact analyser for the continuous measurement of residual permanganate (MnO4−) in drinking or industrial water. The residual is checked at the significant points of the process: pre-oxidation, sedimentation inlet and outlet, filtration outlet.
Programmable sequence on two sampling lines.
A peristaltic pump adds acid or buffer solution to stabilise the sample.
The electrochemical cell with selective electrode measures the permanganate in about 30 seconds.
The value is stored and transmitted to the 4–20 mA outputs and via Modbus TCP/IP; management of the general alarm and thresholds.
Also suitable for turbid water or water with a high manganese dioxide content, for ultrapure water and for seawater, without the need for recalibration.
Compact design, for bench or wall mounting, with colour touch display, stepper motor peristaltic pumps and pinch solenoid valves.
