Suction
The viscous chemical flows slowly in the suction tube: with a standard pump the pump head does not fill and the pump does not dose.
Viscous chemicals flow with difficulty in the suction tube and a standard pump cannot draw them in. For low-viscosity liquids, up to 8,000 cPs, pumps with a dedicated pump head and valves are used; above this value, pumps for polymers are required. For details of the models, visit the series pages: AMS, K and KMS and Prisma.
The viscous chemical flows slowly in the suction tube: with a standard pump the pump head does not fill and the pump does not dose.
As the viscosity of the product increases, a pump with a lower number of strokes per minute is recommended, giving the liquid time to fill the pump head.
The nominal flow rate is measured with water at room temperature: with viscous liquids it must be checked with the product being dosed.
For details of the models in each series, visit its page using the link at the bottom of the card.
For chemicals with a viscosity between 100 and 8,000 cPs, with the high flow rates and back-pressures of the AMS series: up to 60 l/h and 25 bar.
PMMA pump head for viscous liquids up to 8,000 cPs, up to 18 bar. The LPV version is available for the multifunction models of the KMS series.
Stepper motor pump: the slow mode reduces the suction speed and makes priming and dosing of viscous products, up to 10,000 cPs, simpler and more reliable.

Pump close to the tank, with a short suction tube, without loops, and of a diameter suited to the product.
With viscous liquids, priming can be assisted with a 20 cc syringe applied to the purge valve.
For more viscous products, up to 50,000 cPs, pumps for polymers are used.
