Double diaphragm
Standard version for handling most chemicals, reliable in the most common applications.
Suitable for handling aggressive, corrosive or viscous liquids or liquids containing suspended solids. They are self-priming, can be installed above the liquid level, below it (flooded suction) or submerged, and are also suitable for use in explosive atmospheres.
The air distribution system is anti-stall and anti-freeze and requires no lubrication. The pumps can run dry or against a closed discharge for short periods without damage.

Pump head: PVDF, PP, POM, aluminium or AISI 316L
Body, balls, O-rings and diaphragms in Teflon (PTFE) ensure chemical compatibility with virtually all liquids.
Pump head: PTFE
Compressed air (in yellow) is fed alternately to the two internal chambers: while one diaphragm draws in the liquid (in blue), the other delivers it to the discharge.
Compressed air fills the right-hand internal chamber and moves the opposite diaphragm, which lifts the ball of the lower valve: the liquid is drawn in. At the same time the left-hand chamber is in the exhaust phase.
Compressed air fills the left-hand internal chamber; in the opposite chamber the ball of the upper valve lifts and the liquid is delivered to the discharge. At the same time the other chamber is in the suction phase.
Being self-priming, the pump can be installed in virtually any system, including in special versions.
Installation at the base of the tank, allowing it to be emptied completely. At the end of the transfer the pump can run dry for a short period.
Installation above the liquid level: the pump initially runs dry, then draws in the liquid.
Special version with the mounting feet on the top, made possible by the self-priming capability.
Special version for submerged installation, subject to checking chemical compatibility with the liquid.
For viscous liquids: the head of liquid in the hopper assists the pump feed. A high-pressure air supply and a suction pipe of larger diameter than the pump connection are required.
Special version for installation on the lid of a drum.
Installation on a trolley, for quick relocation.
The position of the suction and discharge ports is specified when ordering.
Performance varies with the working back pressure (head), with the viscosity and density of the liquid and with the supply air pressure. The flow rate is adjusted via the air pressure and/or by throttling a valve on the discharge.
