Compressed air dosing pumps

R Series

Compressed air operated diaphragm dosing pumps, suitable for dosing in car wash installations. They require compressed air free of lubricant and condensate, between 6 and 8 bar.

  • Suitable for car washes
  • Compressed air from 6 to 8 bar
  • Pneumatic flow rate adjustment
  • Horizontal, DIN rail or vertical mounting

Operation

Dosing modes

Constant

The pump doses at a constant injection frequency, proportional to the flow rate percentage set with the analogue selector (0 – 100%).

Models: RAC, RACV, RACP

Pneumatic adjustment

The injection frequency is set as a percentage with the front knob, up to 120 injections per minute: each cycle lasts approximately 0.5 seconds, half with the pump supplied with air and half without supply.

Troubleshooting and error messages

The R Series pumps have no electronics: most faults can be traced back to the compressed air supply or to maintenance.

Insight: the pump does not prime and does not dose →

Compressed air

R pumps require a constant air supply, preferably at 6 bar (± 10%), free of oil and condensate. The maximum frequency is 120 injections per minute (approximately 0.25 s of work and 0.25 s of return): the solenoid valve or PLC must be set accordingly.

Priming

Connect discharge, suction and drain, open the drain valve, set the knob to 100% and supply air; close the drain as soon as the chemical comes out. On the RACP the operation can be assisted with the manual priming button; with viscous chemicals use a 20 cc syringe applied to the drain.

Monthly check

At least once a month check the electrical and hydraulic connections, the condition of the diaphragm, the absence of leaks from tubes and fittings and any corroded parts.

If the problem persists, contact us. Before sending the pump for servicing, empty the pump head of chemical and dry it.

Summary

Main features

Control solenoid valve

The pump is actuated by a PLC via a solenoid valve.

Models: RACV

Priming button

A dedicated button allows the lines to be filled with the chemical to be dosed.

Models: RACP

Versatile mounting

Horizontal installation, on a DIN rail, or vertical installation by means of a dedicated bracket.
